Too lazy to log in and figure out who you’re playing this week? That might make it hard to update your roster, but fine, here’s this week’s playoff matchups:
Woodcocks (“Drewcifer” on our forums, I believe), and R.I.P.B.I.G. (kylewilliam from imadethismistake, aka “prohibition” on our forums) were both eliminated last week, and are now playing for a consolation 5th place.
Next week, this week’s stars play for the big one.
Here’s some important information for all 2 of you who are still paying attention to your fantasy hockey team in our very exclusive HockeyPunx fantasy league: March 17th is our trade deadline. Please take a look at how your team is doing and start retooling for the playoffs, which are right around the corner.
Just a quick heads-up: I had to temporarily disable all comments and trackbacks on the site. Since about noon today, we’ve been bombarded with literally hundreds of spam posts. Not sure what opened the flood gates, but clearly our old spam blocker is inadequate.
So please forgive the the unavailability of our commenting system while I try to find a new way to prevent spam. Not that it matters, since none of you fucks ever leave comments anyway. Assholes.
Last year I posted some video podcasts I did called “Pond Scum” here on HockeyPunx. It started off as a Ducks vlog, but quickly just turned into a way for me to make stupid playoff predictions and take shots of tequila. It didn’t go any further than that, because these videos were terrible. Only 5 were made, four of them being playoff predictions, round-by-round. In the last one, I half-drunkenly predict the Flyers as the 2010 cup champions, which obviously I got wrong.
But since the vlog started shortly before last year’s trade deadline, a few nights ago I did a quick anniversary video (only 12 seconds!) for this year and posted it on the Anaheim Ducks message board, where the dumb thing began. This was the night before the trade deadline, so it’s already outdated, but I forgot that I used to post those videos here, too. So here it is, don’t expect much. It might not make sense if you never saw the first video, so I’ve included that one as well (after the jump).
